The A5's turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder produces 268 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque — a significant jump over the outgoing A4 — reaching 60 mph in approximately 5.6 seconds with standard quattro® grip off the line.

The 2026 A5 delivers an EPA-estimated 26 mpg city and 36 mpg highway — impressive figures given its performance, and testers have reported beating those estimates in real-world driving. Note the A5 runs on premium fuel.

Here's the A5's secret weapon: though it looks like a classic sedan, it uses a liftback opening with 22.6 cubic feet of cargo space — more than double what most compact luxury sedans offer. Golf clubs, strollers, and weekend luggage fit with room to spare.

Premium Plus is the value pick for most shoppers — for a modest step up from Premium, it adds a dimmable panoramic sunroof, highway driving assist, a surround-view camera, and premium audio. Drivers who want everything should look at Prestige. We stock all three in Lenexa so you can decide in person.
