All About the 2025 Audi S e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT

Audi’s 2025 e-tron lineup has gotten two shiny new additions: the updated 2025 Audi RS e-tron GT and the all-new 2025 Audi S e-tron GT. Both are electric vehicles (EVs) that build upon previous e-tron iterations to increase their power and range. Each of them has great power and performance specs, as well as pleasing design aesthetics that fit right in with the rest of the lineup.

Let’s go over these exciting new vehicles to understand what they offer Kansas City drivers.

Understanding the Audi RS e-tron GT’s Upgrades and the Audi S e-tron GT’s New Specs

Power & Performance

The 2025 Audi S e-tron GT is designed to outperform the 2024 Audi e-tron GT, and based off the numbers, it does that quite well. For example, the 2024 e-tron GT generated 523 horsepower and had an EPA-estimated range of 249 miles driven before it needed recharging. Now the 2025 S e-tron GT generates 670 horsepower and has an EPA-estimated range of 300 miles on 20” wheels. It also accelerates from 0 to 60 in just 3.3 seconds, making it 0.6 seconds faster than the 2024 e-tron GT.

Meanwhile, the 2025 RS e-tron GT has increased power and performance compared to the 2024 RS e-tron GT. The 2024 RS e-tron GT generated 637 horsepower, while the 2025 version generates 670 horsepower. The 2025 RS e-tron GT is also the fastest accelerating Audi yet seen, with a blistering 0 to 60 time of just 2.4 seconds.

The battery for the GT lineup has also been upgraded from 93.4 kWh to 105 kWh, which is a 12% increase to the battery’s capacity. It’s also 25 pounds lighter than the previous battery and its DC fast-charging time has decreased from 21.5 minutes to 18 minutes under ideal conditions. Overall, this improved battery makes both the RS and S e-tron models much more efficient than previously.

Design

The RS e-tron GT is the first Audi model to feature forged carbon elements. Forged carbon is used in the inlays on this vehicle’s bumpers, rocker panels, side mirrors, and parts of the diffuser. The door sills and dashboard’s interior inlays also feature forged carbon to match the car’s exterior. Why does this material matter? Forged carbon creates a very specific look that is different from carbon fiber. After all, carbon fiber is woven into other materials, while forged carbon is attached to other materials with a bonding resin. It makes for a more interesting vibe that sets it apart from other performance EVs.

The S e-tron GT’s design elements are interesting, too, but in a subtler way. It is available as an Audi exclusive edition, where its leather-free interior is available in two exclusive colors that Audi is featuring for the first time: Mint Gray and Mora Violet. This exclusive edition also offers an exterior finish in Arabic Gray and interior decorative inlays with anthracite eucalyptus flame wood.
